Set Planning
Lay out a playlist in Ora DJ as a list, a grid of cover art, or a freeform canvas, and audition tracks as you plan.
Ora DJ shows a playlist three ways. Switch between them from the toolbar above the playlist.
- List shows the tracks as a table, the same as the rest of your library.
- Cover art shows them as a grid of album artwork.
- Canvas shows each track as a card on a board, joined in the order they play, that you can drag around to lay out your set by eye.
The Cover art and Canvas views are for playlists. Open a playlist, then use the Canvas View button and the list and cover art toggle in the toolbar to switch between them.
Building the set
Drag cards around the Canvas to lay out your set by eye. To take a track out, hover its card and press the X in the top right corner. That removes it from the playlist and leaves it in your library.
To fill a gap, hover between two cards and press the green +. Groove Match then suggests tracks that sound like the one before it.
Audition and fill as you plan
Backups
Ora DJ backs up your playlists, cues, tags, ratings, and analysis every day, and restores them in one click if anything goes wrong.
Quick listen
Turn on Hover Preview to audition tracks by hovering them in the Canvas or Cover art view. Ora DJ loads each track onto deck A and plays it from its first groove.
