Traktor export

Export your Ora DJ library as a Traktor collection file that Traktor reads with your tracks, cues, and playlists intact.

Ora DJ writes a Traktor collection file (.nml) that Traktor reads as a library. You export your whole library at once, with your playlists and folders intact.

Export from Ora DJ

Open Settings, then Library, then Export Library, and choose Export as Traktor NML. The file saves through the system save dialog, with a default name of ora-dj-traktor.nml.

The same menu also exports Rekordbox XML.

What gets exported

Per track: the title, artist, album, and genre, the BPM and beatgrid, the key, hot cues (up to eight), loops, memory points, the rating, play count, and comments. Your playlist folder structure is preserved.

A dynamic playlist is exported as a fixed list of the tracks it holds at the moment you export. Export again to refresh it.

Load it into Traktor

Open the import

In Traktor, right-click Track Collection in the sidebar and choose Import another collection.

Pick the file

Select the .nml file Ora DJ wrote. Traktor reads the tracks, cues, and playlists from it and adds them to your collection.

Traktor finds each track by its file location, so keep your music files where they were when you exported. A track whose file Traktor can't find shows up but won't play until the file is back in place.

A few things to know

  • There's no automatic sync for Traktor. The file is a one-time export each time you run it. (The automatic option is Rekordbox-only, see Rekordbox export.)
  • Supported formats are the same as the rest of the app: .mp3, .wav, .m4a, .flac, .aiff, and .aif.

To export a planned set as a tracklist or spreadsheet instead, see Export playlists.
